"I don't know a single person that wants to earn minimum wage". These were the wise words of a US Democratic party politician during a workshop on ways to address chronic inequality. To put the statement in context, moderate Democratic party politicians met in a cool, mist-shrouded resort in Aspen, Colorado earlier this month to ponder how to make their message stick ( obviously they have not read this blog ) and win back the White House. The unnamed politician noted that while it is right to campaign for a minimum wage, very few people set out in life with that as the ultimate goal. Therefore creating a living wage should only be the starting point. Frankly I agree with him.  I know that while the promise of free college and/or university tuition may be a crowd-pleaser, someone must pick up the tab  at the end of the day .  Moreover as previously mentioned, there are several ways to refinement .
