In an earlier essay, we made the critical point that the capacity to unlock the possibility of the national project and make it a viable governance framework depends to a large extent, and amongst other variables, on rethinking the generational deficit in the national scheme of things. A reading of Nigeria’s historical evolution along this line will reveal that much good and much harm have been done to the national project by an evolving generational dynamics which unleash various and varied inconsistent variables into the national development calculus. Academic and Engineering Job Opportunities for the week ending 06 September 2013

Ladies and gentlemen,

Its amazing how time flies and I am not just saying that because I missed posting out jobs for last week. I mean we are already in September, the 9 th month of the year. Last week I was away to India. Took time from the trail to visit Portuguese catholic churches around the cities of Goa and Panajim by the coast and cultural sights including Mahatma Ghandi's house (now a museum) in Mumbai (Bombay). Although Mumbai is north of Goa, they are both geographically in South India.

About my trip? I will summarize three main points.
(1) Infrastructure and Development. Well the roads from Goa's Babolim airport to the Babolim beach resort were no different from what you would see in Umuchu (my hometown in eastern Nigeria). More surprisingly the atmosphere and infrastructure in India's commercial capital of Mumbai was similar to what you would see in Lagos (Nigeria's commercial capital).
